Website Design - Connie L. Nelson Author Site

Connie L. Nelson was finishing up her true-crime memoir, Cavalier, when she got in touch with us to design her book cover and support her launch with website design (See the finished site), and public relations management. Connie was self-publishing her first book and this was her first time creating a space for Connie the author. ​

Book Cover Design

The website design for Connie was built around the theme and style established by the book cover we designed for her, featuring blue, red, and grey.

Connie's memoir shares the story of her friend's death, and suspected murder. It all took place in Cavalier, North Dakota, on a cold, snowy day. The image used on the home screen of the website is the same one used on the cover of the book, featuring a blurry, snowy field, a scene Connie felt captured the setting well.

Connie's site tabs include a home page, about page, Cavalier Book page, an appearances and press blog, and a page to contact Connie.

For an author with an upcoming book launch, the book page is one of the most important on the site. The Cavalier book page introduces potential readers to the book and gives more information than is normally available in the description on sales platforms like Amazon. ​
